Confined space course

COURSE DETAILS:

Confined space accidents are rare, but they can have deadly consequences – fast. Workers entering an oxygen-deficient confined space can lose consciousness within a couple of breaths. Without adequate oxygen supply, a worker can die in less than four minutes. At this rate of speed, well-meaning co-workers often fall victim too – more than 60 percent of fatalities are would-be rescuers. This program gives the students the knowledge to safely enter confined spaces. Identification of hazards, atmospheric testing, respiratory protection, classification and safe entry procedures. This course is a class seminar, with demonstrations and discussions including powerpoint presentation and student handbook. Students will be required to write a short quiz (pass/fail). All students that pass will be mailed a wallet certificate.
